Precision Pipeline's environmental goals are to preserve
the integrity of environmentally sensitive areas and to
maintain existing water quality.

We meet these goals by:
  • Minimizing the extent and duration of disturbance
  • Protecting exposed soil by diverting runoff to stabilized areas
  • Installing temporary and permanent erosion control measures, and
  • Establishing an effective inspection and maintenance program

The stringent procedures we follow to care for the environments we work in were developed based on guidelines from the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC), the United States Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), the United States Fish and Wildlife Service (USFW), the United States Department of Agriculture, and the Natural Resource Conservation Service. We also refer to our significant experience and practical knowledge of pipeline construction and effective environmental protection measures.

Precision Pipeline has prepared an Environmental Plan as a guidance manual for minimizing erosion of disturbed soils and transporting sediments off the right-of-way (ROW) and into sensitive resources (e.g., wetlands, streams, residential areas). The intent of this plan is to provide general information on the pipeline construction process and to describe specific measures that will be employed during and following construction so we minimize impacts to the environment along the pipeline ROW. The procedures developed in this plan represent the best management practices and are designed to accommodate varying field conditions while maintaining rigid minimum standards for the protection of environmentally sensitive areas.
