About Precision Pipeline, LLC

Precision Pipeline, LLC, (PPL) was founded in 2004 in Eau Claire, Wisconsin, by Steve Rooney and Dan Murphy. PPL was established on the principle of meeting the needs of clients while maintaining a focus on safety, quality and environmental compliance with minimal impact to landowners; and this core value is still strong in our company culture. In 2009, PPL joined the MasTec Inc. infrastructure construction family as its premier oil and gas service line. This partnership has allowed PPL to focus on growth and development with the ability to complete construction on both large mainline projects and smaller infrastructure projects.

We know many factors influence a company’s decision when selecting an infrastructure and utility contractor - and the modern required qualifications of pipeline contractors are much different than ever before. We commit to a union workforce and work with local union halls near the project. To deliver a quality product every time, we maintain a Quality Management System that is certified to ISO 9001:2015. We also encourage training and development in all areas of our organization. The expertise and continuing education of our leadership team ensure the project is completed safely and within all compliance requirements. We always follow the most stringent guidelines from OSHA; the client; and federal, state and county guidelines; as well as our behavioral-based guidelines. Our health and safety program includes support from our leadership, worker participation, and a systematic approach to find and fix hazards. In addition to investing in a highly-skilled workforce, we continually add to our fleet of equipment. We recognize that new tools and machines will create a safer working environment and contribute to better production, while also creating fewer emissions into our environment.

Our commitment to each project extends beyond the jobsite as our team is empowered to make a positive impact on the local community with volunteerism, sponsorships and donations, and nation-wide social initiatives, such as our Human Trafficking Awareness Program. Supporting the jobsite community by hiring a local workforce combined with contributions to project communities is the driving force behind our service culture. The value of community is shared among all PPL employees as we are committed to being part of something bigger than the project.
